Amir Khan's first bout since his upset loss to Danny Garcia will be against Southern California-based  junior welterweight Carlos Molina on Dec. 15 in a Showtime-televised bout from the L.A. Sports Arena in Los Angeles.

Amir Khan has announced Virgil Hunter as his new head trainer, who takes charge as Khan faces the undefeated Carlos Molina in his next fight. The highly respected coach, who was last year voted as Trainer of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association of America, will prepare Khan for his upcoming bout against the 26-year-old American Molina, who has a record of 18 fights with 17 wins (7 KOs) and one draw. Hunter has successfully guided the career of a number of fighters, including super-middleweight star Andre Ward, and will train Khan out of his gym in Hayward, California for the Molina clash.

International manager Frank “Derecho” Espinoza attended the ceremony in Mexico City, where Daniel Ponce de Leon and Robert “Fantasma” Guerrero were presented with their WBC championship belts.
