Achievements: Oscar Valdez is a two-time Mexican Olympian, NABO champion, NABF featherweight “junior” champion, NABF super featherweight “junior” champion. Valdez is currently ranked No. 1 by the WBO. He fought internationally as an amateur and is considered as one of the best amateur boxer in the history of Mexican boxing. Valdez is also the first Mexican boxer to compete in 2 Olympic games. At the early age of 17, Valdez took part of the Olympics in Beijing and 4 years later he competed in London. Valdez achieved another monumental achievement by becoming the first Mexican to win a medal at the World Championships. He was the flag bearer for Mexican in 2010 at the Central American Games. Furthermore, Valdez took home the gold medal and had a successful win in the semifinals at the 2007 Mexican Nationals. Valdez always brings an exciting fight with his intense and aggressive boxing style.
